Hello, I’m Debbie.

I am a compassionate counselling therapist dedicated to helping individuals achieve emotional well-being.

With a Foundation Degree in Integrative Counselling I specialise in a client-led approach that combines various therapeutic techniques to cater to each client's unique needs.

I believe in the power of listening and creating a safe, non-judgmental space for clients to explore their thoughts and feelings.

My expertise spans a various issues including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and personal growth. My holistic approach not only addresses immediate concerns but also fosters long-term resilience and self-awareness.

Clients appreciate my empathetic nature and compassionate approach, enabling them to unlock their potential and lead fulfilling lives. Whether you are facing a challenging life transition or seeking personal development, I am committed to guiding you every step of the way.

Before training to be a counselling therapist I spent 24 years working in the NHS specialising in women’s health before moving into oncology care. My own life experiences alongside my training has taught me that there is no ‘one size fits all’ approach so I integrate various skills and techniques to meet the needs of each individual client.

What is Integrative Counselling?

Integrative counselling therapy combines elements from different counselling methodologies (also known as ‘modalities’) to create a customised treatment plan tailored to the specific needs of each client. Rather than using a single therapeutic modality, integrative therapists use techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, humanistic therapy, and others. The aim is to provide a flexible and holistic whole-person approach to mental health care that addresses the complexities of the individual.

By integrating multiple therapeutic approaches, integrative psychotherapy aims to provide a more comprehensive and effective treatment experience than a one-size fits all approach.
